The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, whose remains were removed from a cemetery in France in 1993 and transported to Australia to be interred in the Hall of Memory at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, the nation's capital. He represents all Australians who have been killed in war. The words at the front of the tomb say: "He's all of them and he's one of us."
